Mark Clyburn

Husband to Allison, father to Madeline and Emma.  Native of Birmingham, AL.

“Allison and I met at the University of Montevallo in Alabama and got married shortly after graduating. We started to live the American dream, Allison was an early childhood educator and I was a small business owner. In the summer of 2008, the Lord interrupted our lives and introduced us to Swaziland, Africa. We didn’t know what the future held at that time, but we knew change was coming and we had to get comfortable being uncomfortable. In 2009 during our second short term trip to Swaziland, God confirmed that we were called to serve full time in Swaziland. In 2010 we moved our family (with our daughters Madeline and Emma) 8,000 miles away to serve the orphaned and vulnerable kids of Swaziland. We burnt our ships and thought we would live there for the rest of our lives. Then the Lord called us back to the States in 2015 to serve the ministry of Swaziland at the home office of Adventures in Missions. When the Lord open the door for us to join the Warren family in 2019 it was very clear that we should walk through the opening. Working with Warren in partnership over the past 8 years we have come to know and love Warren and its people and now we are so thankful to call Warren home. It is so encouraging to see how the Lord has been working upstream to equip and confirm this calling for both of us.

We are passionate about seeing the gospel go forth here and around the world with a focus of ongoing discipleship. We want to engage in ministry with other cultures in a healthy way that will have the greatest impact for the Kingdom.”
