It is a bright, sunny 6:25 AM right now and this appears to be the best time for the internet to be at its best. (much more of a “morning personality” than the writer) 🙂
We so want to make sure you know what we’re doing and how we’re doing, so please continue to say a little prayer for our internet connection. We have to be in another location in order to upload lots of pictures and video, so posting those may be a bit sporadic. Yesterday was another wonderful day with the children, go-go’s and the D-Team. Several on the team were able to do home visits which I think they all would say cut them to the core. The families pull out mats (their prize possessions) for us to sit and visit. It is such a sweet time and a wonderful time to pray over those families. (will post a video of this as soon as we can)
The main thing I’d like to share with you from yesterday is last night.
Wow! Last night. We are all still on a major high. We were able to spend the evening at the McAdam – Clyburn Home. These are the two families that have recently moved to Swaziland from good ole Alabama. They have been a joy to get to know. Our team was there with those families, Jumbo and Kriek and the D-Team. Tuesday night is normally their worship/devotion time together and we were honored to be a part of that.
And….we saw Him.
Scott and Lizzy led us in a wonderful time of worship then Pastor McKinley began. This is where you know it’s going to get great!!! “So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” — 2 Corinthians 4:18 The hush in the room quickly became an incredible feeling of peace. We can look at what needs to be done here for these children – see their circumstances – and become so overwhelmed. But what we see is temporary. There is an eternal life, an eternal home for these children that we cannot even imagine.
Their hurt. Their pain. All temporary.
God has a purpose and a great plan for all of this. While it breaks our heart, we have to remember this is temporary for them. For us. How this great nation is to be transformed will be in his time. Not ours. So, at this moment, we are focusing on the unseen – what God has in store for them. What God has in store for us.
His Plan. Not ours. His perfect timing. Not ours.
And all the while, we will be joyful.
We will keep on praying.
And no matter what….we will ALWAYS be thankful.– 1 Thes. 5: 16 – 18
And if I forgot to mention…. we saw Him!
