Yesterday morning during our devo time as we studied Matthew 7:7-11, We discussed how we need to be intentional in prayer asking the Lord for opportunities to share Him with those around us. The Lord answered that prayer in a very unexpected way just a couple of hours later. Spiritual warfare manifests itself in different ways, and as we were waiting for the AIM Monday morning meeting to begin, we witnessed first-hand the effects of demonic activity in a way none of us had seen before. I was reminded of the Scripture in Ephesians 6:12 “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.” Later in the day, Stephen and Joseph had the opportunity to go and pray over the individual involved while the rest of us were interceding on their behalf back at the house. The Lord is moving and providing opportunities…will you please pray for freedom from bondage for not only this person but for others the Lord will place in our paths?
The rest of our day was filled with visiting a preschool at The Anchor Center where they showed us all they had learned. We all had kids clinging to us, and I could have stayed there all day. The afternoon was filled with home visits where we were able to see what their daily life looked like. It was overwhelming but what an honor to be able to be the hands and feet of Jesus as many of the homes were in need of food. While we were able to meet physical needs, we were also able to encourage them with Scripture and pray over them. What a gift! On the way back to the Spraggs, we were stopped by our first Swazi traffic jam-a huge herd of cattle!
Today, we are headed to the care points and more home visits. We are all excited and eager for what the Lord has for us today!
