Under His Umbrella

Under His Umbrella

Wow! What an incredible first day at Timbutini. I think I can safely say that there are 11 new hearts that will be left in Africa. We had an amazing time with the D-Team and sweet, sweet children. To see the faces of the new team members as they interacted with the children was priceless. Absolutely priceless. Hopefully the previous pictures spoke volumes!

I want to thank you for your prayers concerning our weather. If you could have seen the sky as we left the carepoint this afternoon. Very dark. Very windy. It looked like the bottom could fall out any minute. What did we do? We ran under His umbrella! We prayed and prayed that God would hold off the rain for a bit longer. What did He do? He sent the winds to carry it away. I’m sure you can see the great analogy here. Why can’t we see that if we just stayed under His umbrella at all times during our life we would be filled with so much more peace? But instead we often wait and run under it only when it’s raining in our lives. He has so much more to offer us under His protection if we will just claim it. Everyday! So tonight, that is exactly what we are doing! We are thanking and praising Him for an incredible day. We also fully understand that if He does decide to send the rains, that we are still under his protection. And we will know that He has something else for us to do here! And whatever that is, we will do willingly, thankfully and with a cheerful heart!

Know that we are all safe and missing all of you back home! Much love……
