now she has a place in my heart. This came from one of our Swazi “newbies” – Kristen. She and Jonathan have been a special friend to a little girl for some time now, but seeing her in person put a whole new perspective on things. She quickly captured Kristen’s heart…to the core.
Today was our first day at the care points and no one was left unchanged. The morning began at Timbutini with 41 new preschoolers. Yes, 41 new babies that received lots of love. As we were on the playground, it began to rain. But none of us really noticed. We were so caught up in loving on these precious children that the rain didn’t matter. Eventually, the rains came harder so we moved the children inside the church and began reading and coloring with them. This was such a special, intimate time. We also spent some great time with the go-go’s and the new leadership academy graduates.
Following lunch at Timbutini, we left for Ruby’s. Sweet Ruby – still full of fire, passion and a love of Christ that makes her glow. The kids looked GREAT! They were asking about their special friends and wanting to pose for pictures. We played ball, read books, and had a wonderful opportunity to share the book of John with them. I’m not sure whose heart was more blessed during this time.
Old team members had a wonderful time reuniting with friends and new team members, well, words can’t quite describe those encounters. Hopefully, these pictures will. God is so good and we are praising Him every step of the way. Please pray that we will continue to be obedient to His call and will faithfully follow the path and plan He has for this trip. We love you all!
