It’s gonna take a lot to drag me away from You……

It’s gonna take a lot to drag me away from You……

…..there’s nothing that a hundred men or more could ever do.  Some of you will recognize those lyrics to the song “Africa” by Toto.  That is how 17 very excited people are feeling right now.  In just over 24 hours, we will begin our trek to Swaziland, Africa.  It’s been an exciting and quite interesting planning process.  As you know, when you step out in obedience to do what you feel God has called you to do, well, let’s just say it’s “game on” for the enemy.  He has tried his best to drag many of us away with various distractions.  It all began on October 15 – the day before our very first team meeting and the distractions have been very consistent ever since.   From heart attacks, to sick children, sick team members, jury duty summons, to serious work difficulties and conflicts – you name it; we’ve walked through it.   However, we have not walked alone.  We have walked with one much, much greater than the enemy.  Our sovereign Father has been with each of us every step of the way.

Our team has been going through a 40-Day fast with the help of a 40-day “Jesus Calling” devotional.  What an encouragement that guide has been throughout this entire journey.  To be reminded of His presence throughout every step of every day.  In every detail.  He cares about every single detail of this trip.  We all know that this precious ministry belongs to Him.  We are just the fortunate ones that get to be His hands and feet over the next several days.  To share His word and love on these precious ones of Swaziland is such a privilege.  One that none of us will take lightly.

“It is the same with my word, I send it out, and it always produces fruit.  It will accomplish all I want it to, and it will prosper everywhere I send it.”  —  Isaiah 55:11

Our prayer is that we will take His word and see it prosper in Swaziland.  That we will make much of Him in all we say and in all we do.  Please pray for each of us.  That we will stay healthy. That God will give us a peace about our loved ones left at home.  That 17 personalities will meld together for a much greater cause than any of us have individually.  Pray that we will “be on guard; stand true to what we believe; be courageous; be strong; and do everything with love.” – 1 Corinthians 16:13-14
