…. .it will be “wheels up” for Swazi Team #1! And boy, are we each counting down the hours! There has been lots of preparation, planning and anticipation for this trip and it’s finally here. I wanted to share a few sweet shots of our packing nights.
These two below may have been our smallest packers, but they sure made a BIG impact! Solomon and Hannah unwrapped all 300 backpacks! It was great for them to be a part of helping their moms pack for this adventure.
We’ve dotted our I’s and crossed our T’s – we’re ready to go! We’ll be leaving the church today around 1:00 pm if any of you would like to come send us off. Excited doesn’t begin to explain how we are all feeling. I would ask you, our prayer warriors, to continue to cover this team.
Please pray that the rest of our day will go smoothly; that our trip to Atlanta will be uneventful; and the flight as well. We did get our baggage waiver to allow us to take an extra bag per person at no charge. This is just one of the many praises in the preparation of this trip. God is so all over this trip! He has provided for us in so many ways – HUGE ways! I cannot wait to see what He has planned for us.
Here is our flight information in case you’d like to follow us on Flight Tracker –
Departing ATL on Delta 200 at 6:05pm tonight; Arriving in J’burg, South Africa at 4:35 pm Sunday. There is a 7 hour time difference, so we’ll be arriving as you are in church around 9:35 am. Know that we will post as we can. We will have internet access, but it is a third world country! 🙂 Thank you for all you have done to help make this trip possible. All of you are a part of this team and we need each and every one of you. Keep those prayers coming and thank you for supporting us in so many ways. We love you!
In obedient faith –
Swazi Team #1
