…I’ve never been. That was the comment from one of the disciplers after spending four mornings of devotional time with Pastor McKinley.
We have all been taken to a place we’ve never been. Not necessarily physically, but spiritually. A much deeper place.
We’ve witnessed Him in so many places. Home visits have humbled us. Hospital visits have warmed our hearts. Yet at times, the place has been very uncomfortable. Looking deep into the eyes of these children where their innocence has been stripped away at such a young age. Yes, a very uncomfortable place.
Yet at the same time, a place where so much love and joy can be found.
Because He’s here. He’s here as Provider. As Comforter. As Healer. He is here as their All.
They know they have nothing without Him and they give Him all the glory. They give Him the glory for their vast riches. Riches that I pray we will all experience. Riches that we often feel we must come to “this place” to find. They truly know the riches of his love will always be enough for them.
He has brought us all to a place we’ve never been before. A place we will forever long to return to.
“Then shall the young women rejoice in the dance, and the young men and the old shall be merry. I will turn their mourning into joy; I will comfort them, and give them gladness for sorrow. — Jeremiah 31:13
