Farewell for Now! (plus photos!)

Farewell for Now! (plus photos!)

On Friday we said goodbye to our new and old friends in Cape Town. The days flew by and already it was time to prepare for the journey home.

The Women’s Ministry team was blessed to be able to meet with nearly every Mum in the area for a High Tea and devotional time. The facilities where we met were beyond our expectations, as they had been all week. We were able to share the gospel with nearly 32 women that day and many came to us afterward  and thanked us again for sharing with them. Our team thought it was most interesting, that with each of the four main areas of Home from Home mums, God has placed at least two believers amongst them. Clearly He has been at work and is continuing to make His name great among these women of Cape Town. We were able to encourage the believers that they themselves were missionaries placed there for a particular purpose.

Later that day, we joined up with the Construction Team to celebrate the completed work and to have a pizza party for some of the children. They were adorably thankful and laughed easily with us. This one particular house had several extended family members and neighbors that we were able to meet and speak with as well. Mama Zola’s house was finished just in time and she expressed her thanks many times. What a gift it was to be able to share God’s love and hope with these in Khayelitsha!

Here are a few finishing photos of our time there in Cape Town–

Trish helped lead us during the trip. She was always happy to drive us where we needed to go– and get us there on time!
